About Us

LEA History

The Lubbock Executive Association (LEA) legacy began in 1973 when it was established by Bryon Riddle and Jim White.  What started as a small visionary group including Dr. Obie Stalcup and Tommy Cantrell, evolved into a thriving professional community that leaves a remarkable impact on entrepreneurship and leadership. We continue to honor our Legacy and remember those who came before us as we continue to look forward to the future for the continued success and growth of the LEA. We have since been a driving force for success, camaraderie, and professional growth among business owners and professionals. It is great to have you as part of our legacy of excellence, achievement, and dedication as we collectively shape our future of success and impact in the Lubbock and Greater West Texas Areas and beyond.

Our membership includes local Lubbock business managers, executives, and owners. To maintain our exclusivity, we allow one representative from each classification in the association— each active member can have one associate member to enhance your business presence within our organization. Through our association, members gain insights into each other’s businesses, discuss their products and services offered, functions, and operations, fostering mutual assistance and fruitful collaborations and encourage trade expansion for the benefits of its members.

Every Wednesday at noon, we gather for engaging meetings to promote a better acquaintance in a more fraternal and binding feeding between members, where members and guests enjoy lunch, forge meaningful connections, and take part in prize drawings. These gatherings also feature up-to-date presentations and craft talks by our members and community leaders, keeping us informed, up to date, and inspired to meet the day’s challenges.

At the heart of our story is the unwavering belief in the power of connections. We understand that collaboration, mentorship, and support are essential for true success. Countless partnerships, innovative ventures, and lifelong friendships cultivated through our regular meetings, events, and discussions, nurturing both personal and professional growth.

As our organization has evolved, so has our commitment to giving back. We embrace our collective responsibility to make a lasting positive impact on issues affecting our community. Through philanthropy, mentorship, and local projects, we continue to leave a lasting legacy of social responsibility and to promote the moral character of the association through our daily actions.

Together, we continue to shape the future of the LEA by empowering the next generation of leaders, embracing innovation, and making a meaningful difference in our personal lives, professional business and beyond.  Thank you for joining us on this extraordinary journey as we build upon our storied legacy. Let’s keep forging ahead with new connections, unlock untapped potential, and leave a lasting impact on our industries, our communities, and the world.
